Samuel Eto'o has opened the door to a sensational summer switch to Chelsea.
The Cameroon legend is desperate to escape Russia, where he has been playing for Anzhi Makhachkala since 2011.
The 32-year-old has won the Champions League with Barcelona twice, and under Jose Mourinho with Inter Milan.
Seeking a move: Samuel Eto'o is keen on leaving Anzhi Mackhachkala, with Chelsea a possible destination
Crisis has engulfed the previously free-spending Anzhi, and they are keen to offload as many of their biggest earners.
Chelsea are among a number clubs
monitoring developments with Eto'o, though the relationship between
player and manager gives them the edge over the likes of Napoli, for
whom the player's agent insisted there was interest.
And speaking today, the man himself
said: 'There is only one Jose Mourinho. I have played under a lot of
great coaches - but there is no other character in the game like Jose.
'He is one of the best coaches in the
world - and we had a lot of success together at Inter Milan. I would
like to have the chance to play under him again - because it is never
boring when Jose is around.
Italian job: Jose Mourinho led Inter Milan to the Champions League title in 2010, with the help of Eto'o
'Of course Chelsea are a great team -
and when we have all the offers on the table then I will discuss with
my agent and see what my next step is.'
Of interest in Italy, Eto'o's agent said: 'It’d be a dream for him to wear the jersey of a glorious club like Napoli. However, so far they have not contacted us.'

Chelsea's search for a striker since
the return of Mourinho has so far been limited to Wayne Rooney. The
London club have seen two bids rejected for the Manchester United man,
but are likely to return with a third before the transfer window slams
shut on September 2
