Boko Haram leader denies signing ceasefire deal

Abubakar Shekau, the leader of Boko Haram has denied that the sect has signed a ceasefire deal with the Federal Government.

The statement has caused the Presidential Committee on the Dialogue and Peaceful Resolution of Conflicts in Northern Nigeria, the committee currently handling negotiations with the sect to come under severe criticism.
According to Vanguard, Shekau approved the attack on a boarding school in Yobe State and said that Boko Haram does not plan to make any deals with the government.
“Let me assure you that we will not enter into any truce with these infidels. We will not enter into any truce with the Nigerian government."
