The
broom revolution that the APC represents in Nigeria is sweeping across
the land like a tornado. One of the governors who said he doesn't think
the PDP can lose the Presidency in 2015 has now changed his stand.
Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State has predicted that the All
Progressives Congress (APC) is set to take over the leadership of
Nigeria in 2015, as the lingering crisis in the ruling Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) continues to provide opportunities of advancement
for the leading opposition party.
“PDP has been misbehaving and if it continues to misbehave in this
way, the APC would take over the country in 2015. I now see the wisdom
in the formation of the APC. Since the PDP is really misbehaving, the
party will give PDP a good fight in the forthcoming election.”
Governor Lamido said that with the formation of APC democracy had
been made more vibrant in the country. He made the declarations on
Tuesday while receiving the leadership of the Kano and Jigawa chapters
of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) who paid him a
courtesy visit.
It is strongly believed that Lamido and a few other PDP governors may soon dump the party for the APC.
